Euro continues to decline against the Egyptian pound in mid-Thursday trading
The euro continued to weaken against the Egyptian pound during mid-day trading on Thursday, reflecting ongoing pressure on the European currency in the local banking market.
The euro was quoted at EGP 55.43 for buying and EGP 55.59 for selling at the Central Bank of Egypt.
At both the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr, the euro stood at EGP 55.04 for buying and EGP 55.28 for selling.
At other major banks, the euro traded around EGP 55.04 for buying and EGP 55.29 for selling at Commercial International Bank, while Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Suez Canal Bank posted rates of EGP 55.11 for buying and EGP 55.35 for selling.
