Study Forecasts Egypt Tourism Revenues to Reach $30 Billion by 2030

Recent estimates suggest that Egypt tourism revenues are set for a significant rise in the coming years, with projections pointing to about $30 billion by 2030, supported by strong momentum in the sector.

In 2025, Egypt welcomed nearly 19 million visitors, pushing Egypt tourism revenues beyond $18 billion for the first time, backed by high hotel occupancy during peak seasons.

The Tourism Ministry said Russia, Germany, the UK, Saudi Arabia and Italy were the top source markets, while hotel capacity expanded with 15,000 new rooms and plans for 25,000 more next year.

Growth drivers to 2030

Experts cite the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, major infrastructure upgrades and government incentives for tourism investment as key drivers of Egypt tourism revenues growth.

They also highlight Egypt’s diversified tourism offerings as a factor supporting higher visitor spending.

These trends underpin optimism that Egypt tourism revenues will continue rising toward 2030 targets.
