Steel Prices in Egypt Stabilize Near EGP 35,000 Amid Ample Supply
Steel prices in the Egyptian market remained stable on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, following a notable decline of around EGP 4,000 per ton last month, supported by an ample local supply.
Factory steel prices ranged between EGP 35,000 and EGP 37,000 per ton, reaching consumers with an additional cost of about EGP 1,000 depending on location and manufacturer, averaging around EGP 35,000 per ton.
Industry officials noted that steel prices have shown clear stability due to abundant supply and relatively steady demand from contractors and consumers, while markets await the announcement of the new monthly pricing.
